WP2 REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION AND BASELINE
Covers a detailed definition of the requirements for the project coming from the case studies and the success criteria against which assess the progress of the project during its execution and at its finalization. It also selects the high-performance applications (artificial intelligence, autonomous driving) oriented baseline platforms (e.g., ZYNQ Ultrascale or NVIDIA JTSON) on which the project concept will be implemented and evaluated. Finally, it sets a solid set of baseline concepts regarding safety and security of MCCPS on high performance heterogeneous platforms, which will be one of the decision criteria during baseline platform selection. Those concepts are the baseline to develop OTASU-related safety and security concepts in UP2DATE.
WP3 SECURITY AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT
Covers the safety and security assessments for the software update technology. The assessment will be provided first in safety/security limited version and then refined to a definitive concept involving both safety and security. An external certification authority will assess the compliance of the concept. From the concept, and during the implementation phase, this WP will develop the safety and security infrastructures, in accordance with the requirements coming from WP2.
WP4 UP2DATE FRAMEWORK FOR THE UPDATE CONTINUUM
Defines and implements the overall UPDATE OTASU contract-based service including its representation/format, the platform-dependent elements and the protocol for the updates. It also defines the contract compatibility checks and integration testing to be carried out in each OTASU. WP4 also covers the management of variants and the compatibility of vertical and horizontal contracts.
WP5 MONITORING AND CONTROLLABILITY
Provides support – in terms of concepts and tools afterwards – to WP3 and WP4 in terms of observability (event monitors and their composition to derive SASE metrics), monitoring (to ensure that all violations to contracts are properly detected), controllability of the hardware configurations, security fingerprint and budget optimization.
WP6 EVALUATION IN INDUSTRIAL SCENARIOS
Will evaluate UP2DATE ecosystem. The technologies developed and early evaluated with benchmarks within the previous WPs will be integrated and tested within two industrial use cases. As a result, a final version of UP2DATE technology and conclusions based on industrial figures will be obtained.
